Our rooms are designed for International University Students, Medical Electives, students on an internship or work placement and students who come to learn English in Malta.
We offer our guests accommodation in comfortable rooms on the top floor of our home where there are two spacious rooms, a guest kitchenette, a shower room and a beautiful sun terrace. We have an additional room one floor below the other two rooms. Our rooms have all been tastefully decorated and enjoy natural sunlight.
At Looza we pride ourselves on offering a high quality friendly experience. When you stay at our residence you will enjoy a modern, comfortable clean home with a friendly atmosphere on the doorstep of the University of Malta and the Teaching Hospital.
Our centrally located accommodations are at a few minutes’ walking distance from the University of Malta, Mater Dei Hospital and the Malta Life Sciences Park. There are also many English language schools in the area. Travelling is easy as there is a main bus stop with direct buses going to most locations in Malta.

Facilities in our student accommodation designed for independent living and productivity
We have 3 rooms that can be rented either for single use or as shared rooms.
All three rooms are bright and airy, have natural light, a study desk and a fast Wifi internet connection.
They are spacious and tastefully furnished and equipped with ceiling fans and air-conditioning units.
On the same floor, there is a well equipped communal kitchen with modern amenities for the use of our guests, a shower room and a large, beautiful sun terrace overlooking the valley and University campus.
The Kitchenette is equipped with 4 gas burners, a microwave, an air fryer, a fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and all necessary pots, pans and crockery.
From the kitchenette area you step out onto a beautiful well kept large terrace, furnished with garden furniture, parasols, sun beds, bar-b-que and lots of plants. The terrace overlooks a green area from where you can see the University grounds and Mater Dei hospital both located just down a short country lane.
Access to the guest rooms is through the residence’s main entrance, the guests use a front door key to come and go as they please.
What is Included When You Rent a Room
- Linen and towels are provided at no extra charge.
- a complimentary laundry service is included in the rent.
- Water and electricity are included.
- Only the optional use of the air-conditioning unit is on an extra pay-per-use basis, the use of the ceiling fan is free.
- If you wish to connect to the internet with your own laptop, tablet or smartphone, a high speed Wifi connection is available throughout the house free of charge.

At Looza we offer our guests comfortable accommodation at value for money rates on the doorstep of the University and Hospital.
The kitchenette is shared between just three rooms and is always clean when you want to use it.
The Sun terrace which is one of the highlights of our accommodation, is a lovely place to relax, read a book, enjoy outdoor meals or catch up on your sun tan. Everyone who stays with us adores the terrace!
Laundry service is included in the rate, no extra payments to make for every machine load to wash and dry.

Facilities in the neighbourhood of our accommodation
- Looza is a short walk (7 min) down a country lane from the University of Malta and the teaching hospital called Mater Dei Hospital. No waiting for buses or public transport, which means a saving on bus fares and time for students.
- With the second largest bus terminus by Mater Dei and the University just down the road from Looza, the Island and its many sites are easily accessible by public transport. It’s easy and cheap to get round from here.
- Many coffee shops as well as food outlets are within 400m of our residence. Starbucks, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Cafe Cuba to name a few, are all within a short walking distance.
- There are also 3 gyms to choose from all within a short walking distance.
- Our National swimming pool which is heated during the winter time is also closeby.
- There are 2 tennis courts close by too.
- Shopping for groceries is also no problem, there are many supermarkets including a large Lidl supermarket, as well as little grocery shops to choose from.
- The lively towns of Sliema and St. Julian’s are located just 3 Km away and the Capital City Valletta is also just a short 20 minute bus ride away.

Tips for booking your student accommodation in Malta.
- It is advisable to book your accommodation well in advance. Student rooms and apartments at good rates tend to get snatched up quickly.
- Start searching for your accommodation as soon as you know that you will be studying or doing your placement in Malta. Malta is a popular destination, especially during the peak period from May to the end of September.
- Look for accommodation near the location of your studies or internship for your convenience. You can use Google Maps to check distances and also bus connections if necessary.
- Consider additional costs, such as utilities, groceries and laundry services.
- Check the amenities, noise in the neighbourhood and your accommodation preferences.
- Check reviews from past guests to help make your choice.
- Apply for a bus card before you arrive in Malta, as it may take around 3 weeks to process. This card is convenient to have to tap as you go and save on bus fares.
