Tips for booking your student accommodation in Malta.

It is advisable to book your accommodation well in advance. Student rooms and apartments at good rates tend to get snatched up fast.

Start searching for your accommodation as soon as you know that you will be studying or doing your placement in Malta.

Malta is a popular destination especially during the peak period from May to the end of September.

Look for accommodation close to the place of your studies or internship for your convenience. You can use Google maps to check distances and also bus connections if necessary.

Think about extra costs such as laundry service that is sometimes only available at a supplement and the cost of living for groceries if you are on a self-catering basis.

Check the amenities, noise and your accommodation preferences.

Apply for a bus card before your arrival in Malta as it may take around 3 weeks to process. With this card you can save quite a bit on your travelling expenses as you can travel for free with it.

Make the most of your time in Malta, it's a great opportunity to explore the Island and make new friends. It will be an experience that you will cherish for many years!

Conveniently located student rooms

The location is perfect if you have a placement at Mater Dei or are studying at the University both of which are less than 10 minutes walk away. There is a large bus terminus at the hospital where you can catch a bus to pretty much anywhere on the island. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, and the kitchenette is very well equipped. There is a large roof terrace which is perfect for evening meals. The internet connection is fast and reliable. I chose to have breakfast included, which was delicious and very reasonably priced. Stefie and George are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Malta!

Our independent one bedroom apartment called Vista is ideal for those wishing to have their own apartment very near to the University. You can rent this apartment on your own, or with a friend. Peace and quiet to study when you need to and very close to uni to get to your lectures and meet up with friends whenever you want to. Vista apartment is located in a central town called Kappara San Gwann at 10 minutes walking distance from the University of Malta and Mater Dei hospital. It is quite literally just a short walk down a country lane. Vista is equipped with a modern kitchen, has a washing machine for your laundry and has wifi internet connection. All amenities and bus stops etc are at 5 minutes walking distance.
