According to an old Maltese tradition, our home, too, goes by a name, "LOOZA", rather than by one or other impersonal number. If you are after affordable yet comfortable homestay accommodation in a friendly family ambiance, look no further. "Looza" is truly a delightful terraced house on three floors with all modern amenities, situated in San Gwann, a lively little town in central Malta.

As many of our guests from all over the world that have stayed with us over the last thirteen years will confirm, Looza is the ideal host family residence in central Malta. Genuine hospitality, tasty food, a comfortable room and adequate facilities will make your stay in Malta unforgettable.

Foreign visitors wanting to explore the many treasures and setting off to discover the hidden beauties of the Maltese Islands will have an ideal base for their daily trips, and if you want to stay just that little longer, perhaps because you are attending university or classes at one of the many professional English language Institutes around or whilst completing a practical training period, internship or elective medical clerkship in Malta, then you'll find it a home away from home.

Malta's only university and main hospital are literally just a short walk 'down the country road' and most English language schools too, are in the immediate vicinity. Studying couldn't be more fun than here, with the Meekers family, under the Maltese sun.

We won't do your homework for you, neither write your dissertation while you are busy catching a tan, but we promise we'll help. Our family converses in English but we are also fluent in French, Dutch, Italian and German (besides Maltese of course). Nobody needs to feel left out.

The main shopping areas, St. Julian's and Sliema, the seafront and the tidy sandy beach of St. George's bay as well as the lively quarters of Paceville, popular for its buzzing nightlife, cafes, pubs and promenade are all within easy walking distance (approximately 20 minutes away). All guests are provided with their own front door key and guests over 18 are free to 'come and go' as they please (if mama approves, that is!)

Our residence is located at 2 minutes from the public bus stop that services various routes with direct access to Valletta, the capital of the Island, and most places of interest and attraction. The University of Malta as well as Mater Dei hospital are at just 5 - 10 minutes walking distance.

Accommodation in a 1 bedroom apartment is also available at Vista Apartment just up the road from our home. This new apartment is fully equipped with a modern kitchen and is served with a lift. For details and pictures have a look at the page apartment.
