At Looza we pride ourselves on offering a high quality friendly experience for our homestay guests.  When you stay at our home you will enjoy a modern, comfortable clean home with a friendly atmosphere.

 We offer our guests superior homestay accommodation with various options. For those who prefer independence we offer the self-catering option using the facilities of our guest kitchenette, whilst for those who would like to have more contact with the family and to practice their English we recommend the half board option.

We are a family of four: Stefie and Georges and their two children Ike (17) and Leah (15). We have been offering accommodation to students and holiday makers for the past 13 years. Both Stefie and Georges have worked in the hospitality sector in Malta and genuinely love to entertain visitors.  Now, Stefie personally cares for the house guests full time, whilst Georges is active as a professional in the wine trade. 

We have been hosting students in our home since the year 2000 and since then we have welcomed guests from all over the world.  We love having discussions with our guests and getting the opportunity to see the world from different perspectives!

Our Homestay

Looza is a spacious pet-free terraced house on 3 floors.  Our guests accommodation is located on the 2nd floor of our home where we have two well sized bedrooms (around 16 square meters each.)  On the same floor we also have a separate guest kitchenette for those who prefer to do their own cooking, a shower room and a large sun terrace with deckchairs, barbeque and smoking area.

The kitchenette is equipped with 4 gas burners, a microwave oven, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and all necessary pots, pans, utensils and crockery for cooking.

 Linen and towels are provided and laundry service is available too.

 For those who wish to connect to the internet with their own laptop, tablet or smart phone, a WIFI internet connection is available throughout the house. (a nominal charge applies)

You may also borrow dvds and books from our collection free of charge.

Both bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans and air-conditioning units. (air-conditioning is on a pay per use basis)

Adult guests may make use of a front door key to 'come and go', ...

Location

Looza homestay is located in a central part of Malta in a town called San Gwann at just 7 minutes walking distance from The University of Malta and Mater Dei Hospital .All amenities such as bus stops, supermarkets, banks etc.  are also found within 5 minutes walking distance.

Our homestay accommodation is the ideal base for students on a practical training, Erasmus exchange University students, Interns, medical elective clerkship students, English language students, visiting parents, academics, visiting professors and lecturers.

But who said you need to come to Malta to study? Holiday makers wishing to discover the Maltese hospitality are welcome to stay at Looza too!

The different options for reservation of accommodation are :

Self-catering basis :  No meals are included, guests may make use of the guest kitchenette to prepare their own meals.  On self-catering basis guests are more independent and are not tied down to meal times.

Bed and breakfast basis   :   Continental breakfast is included everyday with this option.

Half Board basis :  With this option Breakfast is included everyday and dinner is included from Monday to Friday. The half board option gives guests the opportunity to practice their English with the family around the dinner table and also to enjoy the various home-made dishes from Stefie's kitchen!

Reservations for rooms may be made for twin or single use and for long or short stay.
